and we are confident that you will greatly benefit from this decision.
Now that you have made the decision to go solar, we would like to inform
you of the steps in the process and estimated timelines. There is a lot
that goes into installing a solar system, and we will work with you
every step of the way so that this process is as convenient and smooth
as possible.
Site Evaluation
We will get pictures and measurements of the following to create a draft
design: your roof, electrical panel, and the attic if needed. We are currently
working on this step.
Engineering
We will draft an official design for your solar system and obtain any supporting
engineering documents. This takes about 2-4 weeks.
Permitting
Your municipality approves the design and gives us a permit to install your
solar system. This takes about 3-9 weeks.
Installation
We install your solar system and confirm that it will operate correctly.
This may take 1-5 days from the scheduled time.
*Any additional equipment will be installed after as your system progresses
through the next few steps.
Inspection
Your municipality will inspect your solar system and confirm that it was
installed in accordance with the approved design and current regulations.
This takes about 2-6 weeks.
*If they find something that requires an adjustment, we will work to get
that fixed and reinspected as quickly as possible but that will extend the
listed timeline.
Permission to Operate
Your utility company will enable net metering and give you permission to
operate your solar system. This takes about 2-6 weeks.
Finalization
We will verify that the system is operating normally, give you monitoring
access, confirm that all deliverables in the Installation Agreement have
been met, and provide essential documentation regarding your solar system.
Please keep in mind that these are average timelines and that actual timelines
will depend on your municipality, utility company, regulations, and other
changes or delays that may occur.
